Simulation tab

Last modified by Claudia Bless on 2026/10/05 14:17

Here, simulations are defined and started. Brief statistics of made simulations are presented.

For an overview of the different types of simulations that are possible, see the Getting Started Guide.

Requested output

Click Requested output to see and/or specify what diagrams and reports that will be created during the simulation.

Simulation data

Open Simulation data dialog to select startup method and time, parallelization, solver tolerances, etc.

Time-split parallelization

To speed up simulations with a long simulation period, this time-split can be used.

Modified

The time when the model was last changed. Only shown if the model was changed after the latest simulation.

Saved

The time when the case was last saved on disk.

Simulated

The time when the latest simulations were run.

Heating design

See Heat Load Simulation.

Cooling design

See Cooling Load Simulation.

Energy (whole year)

See Energy Simulation.

Overheating

This simulation is similar to the Cooling load simulation, but is normally used for cases without cooling. Here you can choose to get out results in the Summary tab for the time of the peak value of the mean air temperature, the operative temperature or the PMV value. See Overheating Simulation.

All (above)

Check this to simulate all cases that are presently open in the session. This is a simple way to run a batch of cases.

Custom

Here, you can simulate any part of a year, run several years or do periodic (repeated) runs over any time frame. See Custom Simulation.

Advanced level

Click Build Model to (re)build the mathematical model of the system.

Click Edit to switch to the schematic view of the system.
