Introduction

IDA Script is a language for describing custom properties and behavior of IDA objects. For every object type defined in the IDA application, a script module with the same name may describe the properties of objects of that type.

A script is a list of commands, or a single script command interpreted by the IDA Modeler. Scripts may be associated with some elements of the user interface, as buttons, menus, etc.

Applications use scripts to describe the behavior of data objects (script methods) and define specific object views (source forms). Script returns the value returned by the last executed script command.
