Log Window

The Log window shows the messages produced while the last user command was executed.

Some messages contain links to the referenced objects.

To see the object or to perform the action referenced in the message

Click the corresponding link.

To see the data object that contains the reason for a message

Select the message with the cursor

Press Enter or select Show source from the Shortcut menu.

Note: This works only for messages that are related to some data object

To get an explanation to a message

Select the message with the cursor
Press F1 or select Help from the Shortcut menu.

To save the messages in a file

Select Save messages from the Shortcut menu.

To clear the message and hide the Log window

Select Clear messages from the Shortcut menu.

To resize the Log window

Drag the border with the mouse.

To get help via Mail Support

Right click the message you want help for and select "Interrupt next time at this message".
Repeat the operation that caused the message. IDA will interrupt the operation and show Restart dialog with text "Interrupted at message...".
Click "Send report" to show Mail Support dialog.
