Roles

The parameters and variables that come from NMF retain their roles from NMF (with exceptions: the role of IN variables is X; the role of OUT variable is U or DER (for state variables)).

The parameters and variables that are defined in Modelica have the role (NMF-role "shortname"), if they shold be passed to IDA Solver. The variables that should be calculated after simulation have the role POST.

Variables in source objects are created with the role BOUNDARY (the Modeler does not use this role).

The output files with the role HIDDEN are not shown in the list of output files.

The role of the parameters in the Output-Control object may be :GLOBAL or :LOCAL, depending on the scope of the controlled output objects.

The applications are free to use any roles for any objects and use them in the script commands with following restrictions:

  • The type of NMF/Modelica variables and parameters should not be changed;
  • Objects added to NMF/Modelica models (:eo, :ceo, and model) should not have roles used by IDA Solver (S_P, C_P, SMP, CMP, U, X, DER, LOC and A_S).
