Flags

Every bit of the flags attribute of a data object represents some property of the object. Here is the list of flags:

Hexadecimal value Name Meaning and usage
1 F_IN variable with input (U) role;
parameter should be supplied to the Solver;
interface with "inlet" semantic;
macro is explicitly invoked
2 F_OUT variable with output (X) role
interface with "outlet" semantic
4 F_DER
F_REF
state variable
resource parameter
model with equation semantic (for compatibility with old versions, this flag is assumed for models that have neither F_FLOW nor F_DISCRETE flag)
8 F_FLOW
F_MODEL
flow (thru) variable
system parameter (used as array dimension)
model with input-output semantic (block)
10 F_DISCRETE
F_CAUSAL_IN
assigned state variable
input interface
discrete model (not implemented yet)
special report object (not shown in the list of results)
20 F_PARM
F_CAUSAL_OUT
time-independent object. This flag is assigned to parameters and to tables that do not describe time-dependent variations;
output interface;
macro object defined at physical level (as template for actual macro object)
40 F_CALC the value (start value for variables) is calculated during simulation (by NMF/Modelica model)
80 F_FIXED the value (start value for variables) is calculated while modeling (by IDA application);
the model may be excluded from the simulation if it does not contain logged variables;
the macro object is excluded from simulation
the output object is shared by all simulations
100 F_PROTECTED the value is protected against changes (it may be calculated from other parameters)
200 F_DISABLED should be shown in forms using "disabled" style
400 F_HIDDEN the object should not be shown in the user interface
800 F_IRRELEVANT the value (start value for variables) is insignificant. This flag may be changed when other parameters are changed.
1000 F_POST the parameter or variable is calculated after simulation
2000 F_INNER this element is a reference target for elements with F_OUTER flag
4000 F_OUTER this element is a reference to the element with the same name and F_INNER flag nearest in the container hierarchy.
