Script methods

To customize the behavior of the data objects, a list of script methods may be associated with the objects of some types (where the object type is the name of the object’s template in the application file). All script commands associated with some template are stored in the file template_name.cms in the application directory. Here is the list of script methods used by IDA Modeler (the script file may also contain methods used by other script commands):

:run
Simulates the system
:invoke
Either sets a well-posed problem or builds a system of physical (from wizard) or mathematical level
:assert
Applicable to all non-atomic objects. The script is called as part of assertion procedure, after validation of parameter values. Should check the consistency of the whole set of parameter values.
:report
Prepares the report of the object
:compose
For report objects. Collects and prepares the data for printed reports.
:on-init
Applicable to all non-atomic objects. Called when the object is created, before creating components
:on-create
Applicable to all non-atomic objects. Called after the object is completely created and inserted in the parent object.
