Saving a view to a file
To save a view to a graphic file or the contents of a text view, do the following:
- Select the view that is to be stored
- Select the menu item File | Export image…
- Select desired file name.
- Press the OK button
In the 3D View, it is also possible to right click on the image and choose “Export high res.image”.
The 2D graphic images are stored in Windows Metafiles format (.wmf), Enhanced Windows Metafile format (.emf), or Portable Networks Graphic (.png), and may be inserted in different Windows applications (e.g., in Microsoft Office documents).
The 3D images may be stored in JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or BMP format. By default, IDA Modeler saves the graphics with the resolution equal to the screen resolution (i.e., magnification=1). To use different magnification, keep the Shift key pressed when selecting Export image menu item. IDA Modeler will ask you to provide the required magnification.
The text-based views are stored as text files.
