What makes good BPS?
The challenge of complex and multifaceted problems
BPS requires simulation models that simultaneously takes account of very multifaceted features:

A Hygric and thermal behaviour of the building fabric, including solar radiation, condensation, mould growth.

B Non-linear, incompressible air flow between rooms interconnected with each other and with ambient air through leaks, openings and a duct system, driven by pressure difference from buoyancy, wind and fans.

C Local occupant comfort in halls, concerning air stratification, long wave radiation exchange and heat dissipating objects.

D HVAC systems generating, preconditionning, storing and distributing heat cold and air

E The control system that operates all active components of both the building envelope and the HVAC system based on sensor signals
