We want you to be as successful and efficient as possible when creating your simulations. That is why we provide a range of support options to help you overcome challenges, answer modelling questions, and make the most of the software. Please note that some services are only available to customers with an active maintenance contract.

Trainings and Events

Develop skills and deepen the simulation expertise through the wide range of training courses and community events of IDA ICE.

EQUA offers training programs for all experience levels, from introductory courses for new users to advanced workshops covering specific modelling and simulation topics. Training is available both online and on-site, allowing you to choose the format that best fits your needs.

In addition to formal training, we provide online demo sessions where you can explore software capabilities and learn about new features.

Our community events, including the User Day, Experience Exchange (ERFA) meetings, or the legendary Simulation Summit provide valuable opportunities to connect with other users, share best practices, discuss challenges, and learn from real-world applications and success stories.

Q&A and Tips & Tricks

These sections are available exclusively to customers with an active maintenance contract.

The questions and answers section (Q&A) allows you to ask questions and exchange knowledge with other users, similar to the previous forum. Existing forum content and discussions up to 2026 have been migrated, ensuring that valuable knowledge remains accessible.

In addition, the Tips & Tricks section provides practical advice for efficient and successful simulation work. Discover best practices, guidance on software usage, and insights into special features that can help you get even more value from your simulations.

Technical support via email and telephone

Technical support is available for all customers with a valid maintenance agreement. We offer support via email or telephone.

To send a project file to the support:

1. Start IDA ICE and open your project
2. Choose Help > Support > Send project file...

Note: Please add a suitable descriptions to get a fast and helpful support (What is your question? What have you been doing since the simulation did run the last time, etc.)

Individual project support

There are situations where limited capacity or a lack of specific expertise can become a challenge. Therefore our project support services provide tailored assistance whenever additional resources or know-how are needed. Contact our support team to discuss your requirements for such a paid individual project support (see contact above).

EQUA as a service provider

EQUA offers professional building simulation and consultancy services to assist with your projects - even from early stages. We are engaged in a variety of projects including energy modeling for ASHRAE 90.1 (LEED and BREEAM), EU Green Building and national codes.
